I feel very stongly about this now. The education system, the thinking process of a student(what its been made), The classroom sessions.
Now almost on the verge of finishing my engineering that too most happening Comptuer Science Engineering. Life Sux. havent done ne great projects which i can feel proud of. "Till Date Nothing very unique which no other person has done before." Its not difficult to find out where the things went wrong. I strongly feel i m not the one to be solely blamed. I'd rather blame the education system of India. imagine a "Engineering Graduate" who prefer to get more marks, rather to work on something innovative and new.
Right now 9th of November, 2004. While surfing the Resources on the Internet. I fail to understand about what goes in the classroom and what i learn in this electronic classroom is all u understand THE WEB. "The web of books, the web of resources, the web of upcoming technologies, the web of new New Possiblities." Its not a essay on what internet has changed. But for me it has changed everything.
As student "A GRADUATE" is suppose to think rationally, but what i find around me most of 'em Think Irrationally......

One should learn to strike a balance in life. I myself haven't done anything "marvellous", but instead of blaming the education system, which i agree lacks in quality and concrete teaching, we should learn to set our priorities and know how to realize our dreams.
We all are grown ups and know are strengths n weaknesses, so instead of blaming neone or regretting for having done something or not having done something its better to free one's mind and as you said,behave rationally.
I dun want to do anything marvellous. i just want to do something unique/something new. it need not to be a marvel, but atleast give me an identity. Perhaphs i have a gud/bad habit of surfing sites of IIT's, MIT and Stanford. All wat i can compare myself is with another undergraduate engineer studing somewhere else. I just pointed out that i do not need a teacher to do things today. all i need is INTERNET to ROCK ON. There was no question of priority or balance. Indeed to develop new thing isnt my dream only, its a reality for me and i always look forward to it.
I wonder u agree the system lacks, and still not blame anything. When u know something is wrong and u just go along with it moulding urself according to the system.
U can wake up a sleeping man, u can never wake up one who pretends to be sleeping.
So is true, u can teach anyone, but one who doesnt want to be taught, will never learn.
By turning to the internet, do you think you are removing a teacher form your learning system? NO! u are merely replacing felsh and blood guided by the most powerful supercomputers known to man, by a limited resource electronic training media as your teacher. Tell me, how uch of the internet offers you a structured training pattern? If a 3 year old kid was given a PC with internet access and asked to study for itself in 20 years, it would be nowhere close to what a similar kid can achieve through the education system.
Havent done great project you are proud of...? Have u asked yourself why? Till date nothing no person has done before..? True, ur not the first person to shift the blame on the education system, even this is not something new u have achieved! Did u try thinking why? You would "rather" blame? So u have no concrete facts to support this argument right?
Every person who has done something unique, who has achieved a new pinnacle, who has taked a decorated step in life, has tread the same paths that have been opened to you. Has unlocked the smae gates you have failed to do, or turned away from. If u can do something innovative and new, unless ur knowledge about present is complete how can u claim something new?! Ever thought about what cements the foundation to the future? Nothing but the present that rests on the past.
rationality and irrationallity are supported by reasoning.... mere opinions dont complete the sphere of rationality. Before you are going to negate yourself on the opportunities open to you, think again before you turn away from the door, think again... would u like to live in a wolrd of chaos and pretend to be the king, or would u like to build ur empire and be your own king.
